My 5 brilliant things to do during lockdown!
At the minute lockdown has really been getting people down. We all need things to do and distract us from the outside world. And these are my 5 brilliant things to do. It will include crafts and activities for lockdown.
Things to do!
Baking
The first thing to do which is good for the whole family is bake (they get free food, you have fun.) It is entirely up to you what you bake, but I have some recommendations: cakes, cookies, tarts and things the siblings could decorate get the whole family involved you could even do one of great aunt Doris’s recipes. (as long as it uses modern-day ingredients.)
Arts and Crafts
The second thing is doing some sort of craft whether its painting, a sketch, simple craft any thing really. This is a nice thing to do because you can go crazy with it. While you are doing it I like to listen to music but its all up to you. Even if you follow a tutorial it is still better than staring at a wall.
Watch a film and chill
There are tonnes of new and amazing films on Netflix, such as my favourite Stranger Things. You could do your self a movie afternoon with popcorn, drinks even if you bring some things to do like colouring. you could watch by your self or with family (that lives with you.)
Immerse in a book
If you’re a book worm (not me), you could easily immerse yourself into a book I recommend a mystery or romance. I would find a cosy corner or seat; I guess even your bed. When I do finally read, I like to have faint music on in the background. I count a magazine as a type of reading, so even if you do that.
Learn a new skill
Finally, you could learn something new such as a language, sport, instrument anything you haven’t done before. This lockdown I have started blogging even if you learn it from Pinterest, TikTok, youtube. All sorts. If you don’t want to do it on your own during lockdown, then you can do it with your family that you live with.

On my to do list someday is to learn to play the saxophone, as I love the sound. I think it might have to wait until I retire 😆 I also think a really good way to relax is to find time to read books. Like you say, you can get lost in your own imagination and another world 😊 Well done, can’t wait for more blog posts . . .
